Blood, shortage as usual
Here we are: as every summer the blood shortage has arrived. Some days ago a friend, doctor, told me about that in Rome there’s a shortage of 0+ blood and now Italian health institute launched an alert and a request to donors.
Blood donation is an easy, undangerous, unpain way to help people: two hours of ur time and 450cc of your blood for at most 4 time at year (or less, if you want).
As musicians we know that we have to play with other people or our art became dry and unuseful. Same story, as human beings. Donate blood: it doesn’t hurt and gives you a lot o Karma points :)
Emergenza sangue, come sempre d’estate. Irragionevole, come sempre: il 40% della popolazione italiana potrebbe donare il sangue. Lo fa il 4%. La donazione è un atto indolore e sicuro, richiede non più di un paio d’ore, (compresa la visita preliminare e la colazione finale), vi tolgono 450cc di sangue, molto meno di Dracula, al massimo 4 volte l’anno. Per la cronaca, la colazione ve la offrono e avete diritto a un giorno di riposo lavorativo. E vi regalano anche una buona serie di Punti Karma
I am giving a persuasive speech encouraging people to donate blood. I came across this encouraging comment. We really do need people to donate blood. Does anyone have any information out there?
hi jessica, thanks for your comment. the good news, in italy, is that blood donations are rising and there are more people giving this little (and great at the same time) sign of solidarity. the bad news is that blood shortage is still here, meaning that donors are still few. and this is more true in developing countries. we have to keep on encouraging people, spread the message through music and arts, and, obviously, continue to donate
