Spirituality of a drum circle

11 June 2008 230 views 2 Comments

A poetic post on a drum circle, and on the spirtual and sacred connection between people playing and dancing in a a saturnday night in Georgia. Good to remember that our drums, sometimes, can talk to the God(s)

I played the drums in my teens/early twenties – with local pt. bands.

One of my best memories was turning down an upside down can of legos – long and resonant – many years later and having an impromptu drum circle with 2 kids in my office. I was a school counselor at the time. They enjoyed it so much that a couple years later, the one who’d been in third gr asked me, “do you remember that time…?” I sure did!
