Your favorite drum solo

Modern Drummer launch a challenging question for his readers: what’s the best recorded drum solo?

Thinking back over the many amazing drum solos recorded by some of the all-time great drummers makes this a tough question. However, we’d love to know your thoughts on the topic. (Your responses could be included in a future MD article on soloing.) If you’d like to weigh in, please send your response to billm [at] moderndrummer.com.

Just started thinking about this stuff. By the way is a good excuse to start listening some good stuff. Two pages with dozen of master’s solos may help
1. Drum solo page on Drummerworld
2. Drum solo page on Drum Bum

I personally don’t think that is a choice one can make….

Hi Irene, i agree with your post: in music there’s no One Truly Best. For me (and i guess for modern drummer’s editors) is something like a nice talk to have a tea time or a good idea to explore people thoughts and then write a good article.
